Attend Your Community’s Logic and Accuracy Testing
As Election Day approaches, community members have an opportunity to witness an important step in the election process: Logic and Accuracy (L&A) testing of voting equipment.
Before every election, local election officials conduct L&A testing to verify that voting machines are programmed correctly and accurately record and tabulate votes. This public process helps ensure that equipment is functioning as intended before ballots are cast.
Michigan residents are encouraged to attend these tests in their communities. Observing the process provides a firsthand look at the care and transparency that go into administering elections and helps build public confidence in the electoral process.
