MAKE A PLAN TO VOTE AND FOLLOW THROUGH

It’s early in the year, but it’s time to focus on the Presidential race.  Research the candidates, read about the issues, make sure you are registered, and VOTE.  Your vote makes a difference!

The Michigan Primary Election for President is February 27.  It is one of the first primaries held.  Remember, at this election you may only vote for one party’s candidates. You choose a Democrat or Republican ballot when you apply for an absentee ballot OR when you vote in person.

Applications for absentee ballots are available now, either on-line or by contacting your local clerk.  Use the drop boxes located at all the City Hall offices in the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods to return your ballot.

Want to vote in person? In 2024 you have an Early Voting Option.  Go to your City Hall any day beginning Saturday, February 17 to Sunday, February 25 to cast your ballot in person.  Or wait for Election Day on Tuesday, February 27 to vote at your city’s polling location.

All your questions about voting can be answered at the State of Michigan website:

KNOW YOUR VOTING RIGHTS IN MICHIGAN (PART TWO)

Michigan Voting is a coalition of nonpartisan organizations, including the League of Women Voters of Michigan, and election officials who continuously work to ensure that everyone can make their voice heard in our democracy.  We do that by educating citizens about their voting rights, engaging citizens to be a part of the democratic process, and protecting the right of every citizen.  A first step in Voting is to Know Your Rights!
