High School Student Videos Engage Democracy

The League of Women Voters of Grosse Pointe completed our Engage Democracy Project–My Future, My Vote. This project was coordinated with Grosse Pointe South High School, where several students produced videos detailing changes in Michigan’s voting laws, with particular relevance to young voters. We were very pleased to receive a video clip from Secretary Benson to include in our productions. The exciting part is that the students actively participated in making these videos, from editing to producing the script. The project was initially to include a single video, but the students surprised us with five separate video clips with important Michigan voter information.

All 5 videos are currently on the League’s YouTube channel. You can access each individual video below.

Thank you to the students and all the advisors who made this project possible.  And thank you to our Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, for supporting this student led project.
