The incumbent, Shri Thanadar (D), won the August Democratic Primary and will be challenged by Martell D. Bivings (R) for the seat in November, 2024. LWVGP and LWV Detroit asked both candidates some tough questions before the August Primary in a Virtual Candidate Forum in July. The following candidates were in attendance for that forum:
