NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY – SEPTEMBER 17
Many of you have asked to be part of a voter registration drive. Now is your chance to do something for democracy. Each shift is two or three hours.

NATIONAL BANNED BOOKS WEEK – SEPTEMBER 22-28
LWVGP has taken a stand against book banning with presentations at the 2023 LWVMI Convention and the 2024 LWVUS Convention. Celebrate this week by revisiting our position statements and presentation and reading a banned book.
Support our local libraries – speak out confidently against book bans.
LWV SEPTEMBER BOARD MEETING
- WHEN: September 17, 7 pm.
- WHERE: Grosse Pointe Memorial Church
- WHY: The election is coming, forums and programs are happening, we will vote on the Senior position.
Note: Board members will be sent details a week before the meeting. All LWVGP members are invited to observe board meetings. If this is one you would like to attend, email Lynne to get an agenda ahead of time and let her know of your interest.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATIONS ARE NOT JUST FOR NEW MEMBERS!
Join any of these meetings if (1) you are a new member, (2) you’ve been a member for a while and you missed this event before (3) you’ve been a member for a LONG while but haven’t been active enough to know how to get active in this important year. (4) you are a board member or committee liaison that wants to meet these members and share info about what we do. They are all on Zoom, so grab a coffee and join in! More will be announced soon.
